This is my first post here! My husband and I are getting a Yorkie puppy next week...we are so excited! My husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer, and because of the surgery and chemo, we are not able to have children. My husband is now disabled due to blood clots, and we are home all day. It has been a tough year, and my Mom also passed away at the age of 63 from a heart attack.

We are very excited about our new arrival - we already have a name - Dakota, but we don't know if we are getting a male or a female yet. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. This will be our first pet, and we are very excited. Looking forward to getting involved on this board!
