When I owned cat's I left them for a few days before at home . I was not worried about them at all. Kitties are so independent. I think sometimes thry prefer the solitude. Be certain that you leave plenty of water, and food .Your cat will be fine. I also would leave a little blinds open so he/she can have some light, and do bird watch, dog watch, and all that great stuff a cat loves to do
