I don't know what kind of vacation your thinking of but just make sure where ever you stay is pet friendly. We've rented a condo for a week before on the beach. Destin and Okaloosa Island are beutiful. Sugar white beaches and emerald waters. I love it there. You can drink coffee on your balcony and watch the surf/sunrise, and sunset with a cocktail in the evening. Just becareful and make sure they're pet friendly. It's nice because it's so homey and if you want to leave the dog just long enough to go out for awhile they're comfy in a place like this instead of a hotel. You don't have to worry about maids coming in and out either.
