Ellie gets Interceptor monthly which does control intestinal parasites but I just use it for the heartworm prevention. I wouldn't use an intestinal dewormer at all otherwise. I do it when there is concern and the vet thinks it needs to be done (almost never). We do fecals 1 or 2 times a year to make sure things are clear.
