Oh, thought of something else I had wanted to say - when you travel on a plane in summer (and even at other times), the area under the seat can get quite warm (especially when not in flight, when just waiting). I use those frozen gel packs and put them in the carrier (on the bottom) w/ a towel wrapped around it. Security has never said a thing about it, which is nice.
