I would not give it quite yet. When was the last time she had anything to eat?
Try and remain as calm as possible so she doesn't pick up your anxiety, lol...which you have.
And stay close but not right on top of her. Goldens are bigger, which I bred. The whelping boxes are usually 4 by 4 feet or 5 x 5. Once I got in the whelping box with my pillow. Kinda sat up but put my head back on the pillow. My Golden put her head on my lap. A couple hours went by. I said shoot, I'm getting something to eat. Went in the kitchen, ate, came back and she had 2 pups already. I decided then and there to let her be the den Mommy. I stayed close and peeked but that was all I did. Nature kicks in and they know what to do ...most of the time. Just make sure she breaks the sacs as soon as the puppy decides to pop out.
