This could possibly be an inguinal hernia. Is it in the groin area? There's no doubt that the breeder knew it was there. Shame, shame on him. If this is in the groin, it can be repaired easy enough but now the poor dog has to have surgery and this also cost money not to mention that any surgery is hard on a puppy. The puppy will most likely come out fine but I still can't believe the breeder went ahead and sent a 2 lb puppy with a hernia. If this is all that's wrong with the puppy then it should live a long healthy life. Any name picked out yet? |
