Sounds like it not going to be to long now.

You can go ahead and let her whelp with what you have and after pups are here then get a warmer box.
I bought the totes with the lids and cut a hole in the front for mom to go in and out.
They seem to stay warmer and no drafts.
I can just lift the lid to peek in on the babies.

Here is one mine ....They like to sleep in them too.
