When my Laila was a little baby she use to be a little Poopie Girl! I tried the crate thing, and she pooped in the crate and then got it all over herself! My dad was the first to find her and had to give her a bath and wash out her crate. Then I tried to gate her in the laundry room. She would stand and bark at the edge of the gate and pee and poopie while barking!!!
Then she would pace back and forth and keep stomping it into the floor. Every morning I got up I would have to clean the 'poop smashings.' It took a month or so, but each time she would have less poop, and eventually it stopped. I even had the potty pads in her gated area - she would poop around it like a border!!! Crazy Yorkie Kids! She grew out of it when she was better able to hold her bowls, maybe your baby just needs a little time to realize what is going on down there.
