My Spencer is buried in my rose garden, the one place I always had to keep him out of when he was alive. Now as I work in my garden, he is always with me and I spend my time simply remembering him and it always makes me smile. For a headstone that doesn't make my garden look like a cemetery, I had a rock engraved with the word "remember". He's been gone 5 years now and I still tell him "goodnight, mommy loves you", every night when I take Winston out before going to bed.
I think it's a personal choice, nobody wants to make, but eventually we all have to make.
