I prefer the pin brush. It seems like it's not so rough. I've been through tons of brushes trying to find one that works for us. Roxie's got hair that's fine and really never matts. I can go a couple of days without brushing (just get too busy somedays) and she has no issues with tangles. I've had brushes that if you pick them up wrong the bristles would poke holes just like needles in your fingers. I certainly can't imagine how that must feel to the poor dog. Finaly when I found the pin brush I was so relieved. You might just have to try a few different things and see what works best with your puppies coat! Have fun and try not to get too overwhelmed. Your about to have the best dog experience of your life!!
