I believe a good breeder should be able to make a good estimate on full-grown weight. An estimate is something that varies, but they should be within a 2-pound range. Unfortunately. so many breeders know full well that the puppy will be much larger than they state. Did you see the parents? This will give you a good indication of full-grown weight; don't take the breeders word for it. I'm so glad you are accepting of a different weight than what was promised, many people aren't, and it's so sad to read about a dog that isn't loved as much because it's a few pounds over the promised weight.
