My little Harry is a rescue too, he caught on really quickly, but he wasn't 2....what has worked the best for me and Harry is to stay calm.....they do pick up on our emotions so quickly. Some on YT gave me great advice...they said dogs live in the moment....it's us humans that remember all the bad things....so everytime you look at your baby....don't think about where she came from....think about how happy and lucky she is now
