There is a test in the "yorkie diet and health" catagory where you can test your food and see how it rates. So I wouldn't say "crappy food" until you know it actually is crappy. I feed Uni dry kibble from Nature's Best Science Diet lamb and rice. So not all science diet is crappy, it rates a 94 out of 100. There are some foods that rate over 100.

Anyway, pups that young should be eating about 4 to 5 times a day. They will poop and pee soon after eating, their systems are so small. Eventually go down to 3 times a day, and when they are adults 2 times a day. Since they are so small, as adults yorkies do better with at least 2 meals a day instead of just one.
