We take ours with us all the time. The campgrounds that we go to are dog friendly. We set up at a campsite - usually not a "primitive" type setting, but many campers all having a great time. We never let Shelby & Seymour off leash..... and we also use an x-pen (several of them) set up. It is a great time......
