Ooh, that is a tough one. On one hand it is so nice the neighbor is making the overture to make friends, but on the other hand, I would be leery about anyone else feeding my dog too. What if your dog likes the treats and they feed too many, ruining his appetite for the quality food you want him to eat? What if others think this means they too, can feed your dog. I might instead, offer them a couple of very small toys and suggest they try to make friends by offering them. Would that be an acceptable compromise? You could tell them about the Yorkie stomach being so small that an extra treat or two a day could get them off track nutritionally or just tell them how picky they are. |
