I think that is true a lot of times too. Several have made posts that it took one look and they were sure! Sometimes the puppy chooses you!
I was on a waiting list for one puppy so I sort of had a deposit on her before she was born. But my male, Ben -- was a different story. We walked in the door, took one look and my husband handed the lady his wallet -- literally!
He knew the second he saw him, that we were taking him home. But, I had also done my homework and knew all about the breeder before we got there. In fact, the breeder I had worked with to get my female helped me find a male that she thought would be the perfect compliment. So we had a head start prescreening!
