I just got the wooden pin brush and the company advises to always spray the coat before brushing- with Ice on Ice for example.It is a neat brush and the dogs did not object to it at all.I use the greyhound comb to do the final check for knots-at right angle to the dog's body.The bristle brush is for the final shine.
