I was anxious about the grooming responsibilities in the beginning - but it has turned out to be no big deal for us.
First, I keep Bailey (she-Bailey) in a bear-face puppy cut. We go to the groomers every 6 weeks. The groomers take care of everything: the trim, hygiene trim, nails, ears - all of it. Its sooo worth it! Bailey's fur is silky enough that I NEVER brush her. I give her a bath once a week with Wal-mart doggie shampoo w/conditioner. (lots of opinions on shampoos here on the site). After the bath, Bailey will run around the house to dry off. In the winter, we do baths less often and blow dry.
