I am a foster parent for a Yorkie rescue and I have now had two babies with demodex (brother and sister). I ended up adopting the sister and my friend adopted the brother. Our vet treated them with daily doses of Ivermectin which is an ingredient in the Interceptor.
The boy was treated with daily doses of the Ivermectin mixed with a vitamin for six months. The female was treated for 3 and both have had clear skin scrapes.
He also had us bathe the dogs twice a week in SulfOxyDex shampoo and use Hylyt Bath Oil conditioning rinse.
