Please becareful with these gaping fences. If you hired it done can you have them come back and fix it to make it right? There was a lady here a couple of weeks ago who bought a chi from a lady that lived about 45 minutes away. It's a sad thing because this little chi had had pups 8 weeks before she got it. The poor thing was scared to death in it's new surroundings and she took it out into her fenced in backyard. It kept running from her and she couldn't catch up to it. It found a place under her fence and got out. One day I saw traffic slowing down on the bridge in front of our house. Then I saw the chi. It ran towards the interstate and found a hole in that fence and went through. There is very tall grass on the other side of this fence and it was impossible to find it. We were all out there searching and never did find it or see again. I saw an ad in the local paper about it being lost so I'm assuming it's never been found. So sad that this happened. I'm not even sure as to why the poor thing had been seperated so early from it's pups and sold. Breaks my heart and the poor lady that bought her was pretty distraught. By the time I saw it I guess it had already been running for a few days. It just wouldn't let anyone near enough to catch it. The poor thing had to be starving, scared and dehydrated. Lot's of questions about this whole situation that I'm sure I'll never know the answers to. Just wanted to share this as to warn about problem fences. I guess some don't think to check for openings. I'm glad most of you are aware of it.
