I wasnt basing my conclusion not on the yorkies color but the fact it shed.Yorkies dont shed ....this puppy left hair all over me.
I know this is going off topic but this post caught my eye. Remember, Yorkies may not "shed" but they do lose their hair. They may lose it at a very fast rate if they have been through trauma (physical or emotional), and some health conditions can cause it. If you have ever seen a hypothyroid dog, they lose hair like crazy -- even Yorkies -- just as humans do. It was a caution sign for the dog. You may be right that the dog was not purebred, or maybe it was poorly bred. But the loss of hair could be several things, from fright to a disease.

(I am hypothyroid. When my levels are off, you would think I am a shedding breed myself! )
