yeah, I have that problem too. Just trim a tiny bit once a week and that will help. I got one of those dremmel like rotating nail filers, havn't tried it yet. I suppose you could file off too much too. Just go a little at a time.

We got one of those expensive nail clippers with a green and red light. If it was green when you inserted your dog's nail, it was supposed to be safe to clip. If the red light lit up you were supposed to adjust where you put the nail and try again. However, we couldn't get it to be stable, it would be green when I knew there was too much nail in the clipper and be red when there was just a tiny bit. I can't remember the name of them, they were expensive and I didn't trust them. We took them back the next day.

Good luck and just trim a tiny bit once or twice a week till you get them where they should be. Remember the quick will grow too, so don't let them get too long!
