I home cook for both of mine. However, I only discovered that kibble was not as good as I thought this year, so Cash was raised on Science Plan and Royal Canin. When I discovered that RC only gets 2 stars and I pay my *&@ off for it, I decided to home cook.
I did my research and now simply brown mince and small pieces of chicken, add the rice, water, stock, loads of different veggies and cook. When it is almost done, I just add some fresh mint and parsley. I freeze all of it and it lasts me about two weeks.
It is a bit more of a commitment than feeding kibble, but also a lot cheaper. And their breath smell great!
