What I did was find a Yorkie breeder close to me through the YTCA website. Then I gave her a call, apologized for bothering her, but she said she was happy to help. I explained that I was looking to find a vet that was very experienced with Yorkies, as my old vet killed my Starr (first Yorkie) with his inexperience. She referred me to a great vet practice, and one vet in particular there who is her favorite, and he has owned Yorkies himself. He is terrific, and doesn't "manhandle" my girls like my old vet used to, he's sweet to them and gentle, and knowledgeable. Expensive, but I trust him, and he's on call 24/7/365, so no more dealing with ER vets!
Good luck!!!!
