Default My Letter to Max

My Letter to Max

I love you and even though it has only been a few days, I really miss you.

I remember when your mommy was pregnant with you. She went into labor and I was there when you took your first breath. You enjoyed snuggling with Mazie even then.

How about when your were a baby and decided to use the dog bowl as a napping area.

I miss waking up in the morning with your little head on my pillow and those big brown eyes looking at me so lovingly.

I miss your waking me up in the middle of the night so I could help you get off of the bed to go potty.

I miss watching you tear around the house trying to terrorizing the other dogs.

I miss watching you snuggle on top of Mazie and taking a nap. Mazie wouldn’t move a muscle until you woke up.

How about playing tug of war with your aqua kitty. You not only played with me but you played with the other dogs. They were so gentle with you.

Remember how you enjoyed being wrapped up in your blue blanket with only your head peeking out? What a baby.

Boy, could you jump. You jumped from one end of the couch to the other end landing on my shoulder. You knew I’d catch you and I always did.

Even though your front legs were broke, you could really move. How about the time I was getting you out of the van and I just set you down for just a moment and you were off to the races. By the time you let me catch you, you were already down at the fourth trailer. Crazy kid.

You were really a cuddler. You kept me on my feet, you loved me unconditionally and I don’t care what anyone else says, I loved you unconditionally.

How about our evening conversations. At about 11 pm each night, you would come to me and start your talking. I think you were telling me that it was bed time or you just wanted me to pick you up so you could snooze on my shoulder until we did go to bed.

Lots of people miss you baby. The folks at the vet office are all so upset. Grandma Ginger, Aunt Anna, Aunt Ronda, and Daddy Dana already miss you. All the folks who donated money to get your poor legs.

And me. I will love you always.
