Yes, the liver is an amazing organ. It can rejuvenate itself. You need to find out why her ALT is so high, though. A low TP (total protein) is also an indicator of liver disease.
Milk thistle will probably be very good for her after you find out what you are dealing with. I would schedule a bile acids test asap.
