To the OP, I think your first couple posts on the board have to pass moderation, that may be why they are taking a long time to post.
I think you may still want to put up "Found" posters, and/or post "Found" ads on the web. You can leave off some key detail; maybe say that you'll require a description of his collar for anyone who calls, but it's a trick question, because he didn't HAVE a collar. Or just say you'll need a description of what he was wearing. Something like that.
Beyond that, I think maybe this guy was meant to find you. I very much hope Nick is re-united with his own dog.
