You have to make him realize that it's in his best interest for him to come to you

He ain't gonna do it alone
With all the great smells and activities going on outside?
The last thing he'll want to do is cut it short

Bring some treats
and a long lead helps in case he won't come and so you won't be chasing him all over the place
Let him go for a bit and call him ONCE
Don't be calling his name again and again
Because then he'll think you're Supposed to say his name 20 times before he comes
Call him and hold out the treat
If he doesn't come squat down with your back to him and make believe you're digging
this will make him curious
Good idea to give him a treat everytime he comes to you
esp at this stage
