I also can't believe people have laughed at your Missy!! What's up with that!? I know people have much opinion of dressing dogs but I have not run into any one criticizing how I dress Snickers. Thankfully I always get people awwwing and ooooing over him. I have heard that DUMB comment about how Snick would make a snack for other big dogs...Snick is 3.3lbs...I just smile and try not to come off overly sensitive and am able to take a joke..but I'm NOT LAUGHING!!!! 
The other day while I was walking Snick in our neighborhood, this one guy looked at Snick and said...."Nice Hamster." I didn't say anything back in the case I see him again, but I wanted to punch him in the face...I don't know what came over me...but then again Snick is like my child so now I know how Mom's feel when their kids get snubbed.
You have every right to feel and say what you did!! I am proud of you!
