That is SO incredibly rude. What a dumb owner. I've never encountered such people as of yet and every dog (except one... who attacked Jackson in his own backyard!) has been extremely good with Jackson and he loves them.

I dog-sit for two Boxers and the youngest male, who is 4 years old, has always been like that towards other dogs. He just hates other dogs even though he's a sweetheart in the house. Well, the owner told me jokingly once, "My dog would eat your dog for a snack!" But he was completely kidding, I love this guy and he would never truly want anything to happen to Jackson, he's a big animal lover. But in a situation like you're describing, that is just sooo rude.
