My Chipper had the same type of bladder stones and was put on Hill's UD. The vet said that was the only thing he should eat. I asked about treats and the vet said to just give him pieces of the kibble for his treat ( as if Chipper would go for that). During Chippers surgery the vet noticed an unusual thickening of the bladder wall and didn't think it was anything to worry about but did a biopsy to make sure it wasn't anything serious. The biopsy camed back as cancerous and there really nothing surgically that could be done. Since Chipper was 13 and the vet said he probably only had 6 weeks left to just go ahead and feed him whatever he enjoyed. Good thing because the week he was on the Hill's UD he didn't like it and didn't really eat much.
