Hmmmm; not sure what the deal is. Could be the "getting more independant" idea since she is getting a little older. Is she big enough to jump on or off your bed? Not to force her back with you, but maybe you could bring her to bed with you and if she acts like she wants down (or jumps off is she is able), then let her be. Maybe she just needs to be reminded of the "routine" you two had.
I presently have 3 yorkies. Only Halle is able to jump onto and off of the bed; well the boys probably could jump off, but I don't like/want them too; it's quite a jump for them. Since Halle has the ability, she has had the privilege to sleep with hubby and me. The boys have a routine where at about 2 or 3 am like clockwork, they whine or jump at the side of the bed, and are let up to sleep the rest of the night with us. Yes I know, they are all spoiled.

Lately though, Halle has started to stay on the floor with the boys and only wants up when they do. I wondered at first what the reason for the change was and, right or wrong, I have concluded that it is due to the change in weather. With spring finally here, the house is warmer and I assume it's cooler for her to sleep in a bed on the floor.
Good luck with getting Jemma to sleep with you again, in the meantime just enjoy the qulity time of those early morning massages. And remember, she loves you no matter where she sleeps.
