I do brush her teeth EVERY day with regular toothpaste though.
The first few times she would rub her face and do little sneezes. She doesn't sneeze anymore but does rub her face... then again she does that after she eats, gets a treat, or her teeth brushed with regular toothpaste. |
Petzlife should not be used as toothpaste, it does contain alcohol and if you use it that way, the dog could ingest too much. This is a very common mistake, but the way Petzlife works is that you put a small amount on the teeth at least 30 minutes after food and water has been given. Wait at least another 30 minutes before giving food and water. Petzlife works by softening the tartar, allowing you to brush it away with regular dog toothpaste at a later time. I also give Joey Bully sticks hoping that he'll scrape some of his own tartar off.
Yorkies are notorious for having problems with tartar, and don't lose their teeth through cavities but because of built up tartar that leads to gum disease.
