Honestly, my advice to you is to be patient.
He is still adjusting to your home and things will get better. Just ignore the barking/yipping as much as you possibly can. Maybe you should move the crate to a different room so that you can get some rest.
Potty training is another thing. Reward him every time he goes to the bathroom outside and do not punish him when he goes to the bathroom inside. He will learn after a little while. Remember that he is just a little baby!
