Have you exhausted all the usual things to reduce allergens? Is there a hepa filter air purifier in your son's room and other places in the house where he spends a lot of time? Are you dusting/vacuuming/laundering things all the time? Washing/brushing the dog often? There are lots of articles online about steps to take to make it more bearable but all that may not be enough. You could try them though before you have to give up your pup. I had to read up on it before we adopted Teddy. I have severe allergies and asthma and its awful to not be able to breathe. I'm sorry you're in such a difficult position. Good luck to you all. I hope you find a solution.
