mocha is an only dog in my household (she's 2.5 years old) and thus she receives the utmost royal treatment. i have noticed her temperment around other dogs who i believe she turns her nose up and dogs who she gets along perfectly fine with. the problem is i don't know how to correct this behavior. i want to believe that she's socialized and gets along with dogs but if someone crosses into her "territory" without her okay or wants to pick her up, she becomes really aggressive.

for example, i was holding her in my arms when my dad comes along and wants to pet her. (she and my dad loove to play together. she seeks him out first because she knows he will. in any other circumstance, she does not care for him). she became annoyed and snapped at him. i've NEVER seen this behavior before. sure she'll bark around people, but after a couple of minutes, she's okay.

i joke that it's because she has only child syndrome and that's she spoiled silly, but in all seriousness, how do you correct this behavior before it gets out of hand?
