Have you really thought this through? I've read so many stories of older tinies, who accidentally got pregnant by a visiting relative. The male pup were supposedly toi young to breed, but they caught them in the act. For the next 6 years or so (I don't know how many), you will have male dogs going nuts around her. Almost any male dog that impregnated could cost her life. Please reconsidered neutering, you just can't predict the future, and how about times where you need someone to watch her? Spaying can safely be done, just make sure the proper anesthesia is used, and a blood work is done first. The blood work is good to do on tineis anyway, to ensure the y don't have undiagnosed liver shunt. The teeth really need to be pulled, rope toys might get some, but the majority of yorkies need help with a few of their teeth. Double rows of teeth are more than a cosmetic/bad breath problem, they can cause early tooth loss due to infection because of food build-up between the crevices. |
