If you're getting a new pup
start from the beginning to train him or her that barking is a no-no
Little pups usually don't start barking until they are 3 months old or so
Get an empty can put some coins in it
when she barks shake it to stop the barking and get her attention
when she stops and listens to you tell her what a good girl she is and give her a treat
This will ward off the barking jags they can get into |
The can is a good training tool. I used it for a lot of things. But rewards are a must!
