I think I wasn't doing it long enough, it seems like the instructions said only 5 seconds at a time, and lift from the nail, or else it gets to hot, so after doing that 4 or so times on each nail I thought I was getting them short enough, especially since I started using it a couple weeks, after a nail trim. I thought if I just did a little weekly, they would be easy to do. I've got to say, many people love it. I'm not sure how long the average person takes on each nail. Maybe one of the people who like it will reply. I believe Chachi says she uses it, and really likes it.
