I have the Peti-paws, and wrote a blog on getting Joey to use it, at first I thought it was pretty great, and I thought I was getting them short enough, but I had an appointment with Joey's breeder for a complete grooming, and she told me that I was leaving the nails way too long. She had to clip the nails way back. She said if left too long, the feet will eventually spread. The nails should not be touching the floor surface ever, she was able to cut all his nails in the time it took me to cut a couple of nails, and those weren't even short enough. I started using the nail clipper after that, but I cut into the quick once, and now I'm taking him to the vet to get them trimmed. Joey's breeder lives too far away for monthly visits. This is the only thing I can't do, some people say they really love the Peti-paws, but I wonder if they are getting them short enough? Here's my blog, if anyone wants to learn how to acclimate them to the Peti-paws. Peti-Paws, does it really work?
