Ah just ignore any negativeness! Everyone has their own way of raising their animals. Back in the day people didn't even feed dog food, the dog got what the family got for dinner. Or even worse the dog got the scraps, the bone from the steak, the fat trimmed off the steak, etc... you're not a bad mommy. I think moderation is key, minimal is best. To each their own.
