If there were other problems with the place, I'd go elsewhere, but personally wouldn't find a different clinic just based on that one question.
I think you're right Kelly. When Ruby was to be spayed I had to bring up the subject of pre-surgical blood work with the vet. He agreed it should be done, but that most people wanted a simple s/n with no extra charges.
