One thing I have learned though is there is a wide varying of opinions and preferences on things such as coat, head type, body type, leg, etc. so sometimes the type of yorkie one person likes, someone else will not like. Sometimes it is good to get more than one opinion. But then I guess that is why we show because the judges have a varying of opinions too. |

Well we all will interput the standard differently just as we do in everyday life...while I prefer up on leg that is not actually what the standard calls for in my interputation BUT if the yorkie is up on leg you still need that square body and be in proprotion. Take Chandler aka Sure Shot for example, to me that is the breed standard, breed type "except" he has a round eye not an almond shaped eye. I do prefer up on leg and elegant with a pretty face. Not a baby doll face. Coat shouldn't be an issue you either have a silk coat or you don't LOL but again that is up to interputation again LOL...
You are right, judges have their varying opinions too, and as I always just another day at the dog show LOL
