As in ANY pedigree dog, you are going to find some kind of an issue...either it be their knees, hips breathing...etc....I don't want to jinx myself (so we will pretend I didn't really say this!!) I have a 4 yr old and soon to be 3 yr old...I have NEVER had any sort of health issue with either one of them. I had both my girls spayed in Jan and haven't noticed any weight gain. Having them spayed early (wish I hadn't waited) will help to prevent and uterine and/or mammary issues.
