Well, I don't want to make you feel like there are no other options because there are. One thing that could be done is homecooking. You could use all the organic, natural ingredients that you want but the recipe needs to be balanced by a nutritionist with the correct ingredients for a dog with this issue.

Whether it was because water wasn't left out or not, I have no idea.
But if you take him off of this food and he gets stones again and they can't be dissolved by diet, it will be back to surgery, so not sure if you want to take taht chance...

You can also talk to a nutritionist about what ingredients you should and shouldn't be feeding and pick a natural food from there. Maybe someone on YT has dealt with this and found a quality food but I'm not sure I'd take that chance without a nutritionist's input.
