not that this will have any effective on my decision to get my yorkie but i may need to be prepared. i have heard from many yorkie owners i know and others i have seen in home as i am a visiting nurse ,that their yorkies have been the sickest dogs they ever owned. the lady i saw today had a yorkie 11 ys old said she has spent thousands of dollars on vet bills and that they usually need their teeth pulled for many reasons other than soft and rotting .she just got her yorkie fixed as she had a uterus infection that almost killed her and she never had pups. now her dog is 11 pounds was 4.5 pounds 3 months ago .does spading make them gain that much weight? i had a poodle for 20 years other than shots i had only one other problem she had to see a vet for. please prepare me!!!!
