We just went through this with our two. We chose the Bordatella drops and the good groomer. It scared me for awhile because they started sniffing, sneezing and snorting. It scared me to death!!
I was worried that they had contracted kennel cough from the drops (which is a possibility).
But...they were fine!
It turns out that the drops irritated their sinuses and caused them to swell some. He gave them some antihistamines to help and they are fine now.
So, would I do it again? Probably. We tried grooming them ourselves, and let's just say that I'll keep my day job!
The last groomer resulted in Gizmo getting a staph infection. He was also traumatized for some reason. They both love the new groomer. That is more important to me in the long run.
The sad thing, we have to go through this again in six months!
Now, I have to decide on the shot or the drops again. Oh boy...
