Also known as Legg Calve Perthes Disease.

My Sookie was diagnosed with it yesterday and I just just so may questions. My hands wouldn't stop shaking, so I was unable to type. I read and read up and down YT. Which pretty much answered my questions. Except for one. My Dr. said there were 2 different operations. One in which they go and take out all the broken pieces of bone and fix it. Meaning her body would have to heal it self in someway I can't recall. Which he recommend and he could also do. The other I would go to a specialist and they would place some artificial hip.

So my question to YTers that have dealt with Legg Calve Perthes Disease which operation did you do? Has your baby gone back to their old running self? How much $ should I expect to hear when they give me a quote? Were you given both options? Do you know if one is better than the other?
