I never know where to post my tech questions so I'm going to try here. If there's a better place, would someone please direct me there?

I'd like to know two things:

(1) How to get that flashing, changing look in an avatar that people have going from photo to photo, etc.

and

(2) Where are folks getting those cute graphics they put on your page? I think it's called a profile page but I'm not totally sure. It's the page you default to when you click your own name. People have put some of the cutest things on mine but I can't figure out where they got them. If it's their orginal art, I am REALLY impressed!
